Infographics.

Last week I read an article on Buzzfeed titled '11 Charts That Accurately Sum Up Being A Book Nerd'. I've always loved buzzfeed but this one had amazing charts with bright colours and cool fonts to depict the facts. Ever since then, I had decided to make a chart or diagram or an infographic. This is my first step in doing something that cool with respect to designing. Even though we think we can do it, it's quite tough at the beginning. There are so many websites and softwares. That's the first confusing thing. Once, you decide on a particular one, it's really complex. Once you get used to it, you'll start to like it.
I made three images using Easelly. It has a variety of options as per your tastes. There's the classic differentiation template. (Tea Vs Coffee) There are objects and themes pre-determined which form amazing templates. You can also take up a plain background in the beginning stages.

I made all of them on a background colour. Then added text and some objects. This is the simplest variation. I haven't added any templates in these. The first one mentions all the short stories I've written so far. The second one mentions all the book reviews I've written. The third one contains images from my Monday Moments series.

Even though they look quite simple, they take quite some time for making. I've started to enjoy making these. I may even try a real infographic soon. Here's one that I saw on the before mentioned site.

Which sites or softwares do you use for making diagrams, charts and infographics?

  5. This looks so tricky. I would love to make an infographic but I do not have the patience for that sort of thing.

  6. Your infographics look great! I use photoshop and powerpoint depending on the graphic. It took a while to learn photoshop. The earliest ones didn't look very professional, but now I'm pretty happy with them.

  9. Those are really cool. I haven't tried to make any infographics yet, but I imagine they are time-consuming and challenging, especially in the beginning.
