Just That Kind of a Poem.
It is the kind of moment when I feel
the need to write, but I'm not sure what.
Should
I muse about the 2 AMs, of loneliness that comes with independence?
Or
shall I wonder about those times of grief where you no longer know the reason?
Or
shall I refrain from thinking about the doom of inevitable Mondays?
Or
shall I gaze about the beauty of Saturday nights and Sunday brunches?
Or
probably I'll wonder about that heartbreak of a naive girl which sure
would be a cliche,
Or
that story about how everything always ends on a happy note,
Or
perhaps in my story it doesn't and it's another story of unrequited love where
someone dies of an illness,
Or
shall I write about that sad story of the sun and moon, or how the stars shine?
Or about endless heart to heart conversations with people you used to call your friends,
Or
about people and how their eyes shine when they talk about their passion,
Or
about those beautiful poems that touch your heart which I'll will never be able
to write,
Or
shall I just muse about everything that I possibly can before I run out of
everything I possibly can imagine..

Happy Friendship Day!
On the
occasion of Friendship Day, I'm saying a huge thank you to all the friends for
putting up with me. Here's a little something for being the most amazing friends!
From one singer to another boy band,
Through their break downs and ours,
Thanks for putting up with me,
Suruchi.
From our books and coffee to movies
and FRIENDS,
For being the lets-just-sit-at-home-and-talk kind of friends,
Thanks for putting up with me, Divya.
From school days until now,
For those nick names, gossips and
immaturity,
Thanks for putting up with me,
Aishwarya.
From being the most mature yet crazy
friend to being the one who never meets,
For those long humorous advises to
being a blog reminder and proof reader,
Thanks for putting up with me,
Vaishnavi.
For our late night calls, 60 second long hugs and car jamming sessions,
For one year of drama followed by PTSD,
Thanks for putting up with me,
Sukanksha.
From my schoolmates and collegemates to classmates,
For being so unbelievably awesome to a nerd,

Black Butterfly. (Book Review #20)
I came across this amazing author, Robert M. Drake via his Instagram account. I'm a romantic for words. You know
those images where there's distinct text on it? I can't not look at those when
they appear on my timeline. And just like that once I saw an image which had typewritten words. Every writer (or a person who loves to write) loves typewritten words! So, after reading that, I knew I had to read all his books.
Robert M. Drake is a poet and he writes the most brilliant poems. He is the poet of the 21st century. His poems are related to emotions and feelings of the youth. He portrays little things so effectively that it leaves you mesmerized. They are unlike poems which require a deeper understanding after reading them for 50 times. His poems are real, inspiring and just lovely.
Now, about Black Butterfly! I loved it. I finally read something after a long time which I 'loved'. There are rare few books which I give 5 stars to. And this is one if those. I finished it in two hours or so. And, it's just awesome. I do a thing while reading where I note down or bookmark all the good quotes. I ended up practically bookmarking half the book. It's the kind of collection which I can read once a month. It's that good. I recommend this book to every living soul. These are my favourites:
1. We Must Be Mad.
The truth in this poem speaks out louder than any form of prose ever will. It brings out the typical human psychology and how we function. It's brilliant.
2. Home is People.
1. We Must Be Mad.
The truth in this poem speaks out louder than any form of prose ever will. It brings out the typical human psychology and how we function. It's brilliant.
... And in the horror of it all
is this:
we stay attracted
to everything that hurts.
We cling to it
and never really learn
to let go...
This one is for those lonely souls who have no one to share their moments. This is for those unhappy single people, old people who're on their deathbed and just anyone who feels not special or not loved.
3. Connects Inside.
This is another poem which will make you feel good about yourself. A must read at those low points where we all get trapped.
4. I Wanted To Talk.
This is an amazingly written poem about a guy who controls his girl. It's about the power of women and independence.
These are just some parts of the entire poem. I'm sure you'll go ahead and read it entirely. Poems like these aid, inspire and give hope for the soul within the machine of a body.
... So we live our lives looking
for something to fill us
and give us meaning,
only to discover
that in the end,
love was never meant to be
received by one person,
but rather all the people
who made us feel at home.
3. Connects Inside.
This is another poem which will make you feel good about yourself. A must read at those low points where we all get trapped.
...You are every moment
that is meant
to be remembered.
You are everything
that matters...
4. I Wanted To Talk.
This is an amazingly written poem about a guy who controls his girl. It's about the power of women and independence.
It took me years
to understand
that the more
I tried to settle her flames
the bigger her fire grew...
These are just some parts of the entire poem. I'm sure you'll go ahead and read it entirely. Poems like these aid, inspire and give hope for the soul within the machine of a body.

Guest Post #1
Today I'm posting the first guest post on my blog. This wonderful poem is written by my college
classmate and friend, Avani Gala. Not only is she sweet but so are her words. She is an intelligent person with a pure soul, sweetness and lots of depth. I
hope you love this poem as much as I loved it.
World is unhappy as I
look at it,
And no wonder it does
has its feel,
But nothing could
count no matter how sweet,
When I come to my
slate, yeah nothing could heal!
I began to sing,
appreciating my turn,
And with all that
hope I began to learn,
But life is no film,
soon as I learnt,
Destination never
comes your way, you have to hunt!
My words fumble,
things are looking blur,
As I am lost in the
world which is no more clear,
My heart shouts,
screams to explain that sight,
Yeah, that sight to
see myself in the world of flights!
Though my dream has
shattered into parts,
somehow I managed myself from feeling apart,
somehow I managed myself from feeling apart,
As that's all I
desired then and still,

Popular & Plain
She's easy to get along.
While in the sea of people,
I'm just a thorn.
She's outgoing, cool & fun.
At home in the company of books,
I'm just fictionally alone.
She's an extrovert and appears on everyone's call.
Voracious reader and occasional writer,
I'm just an introverted know-it-all.
She's an enthusiast planner.
Quiet, aloof & self-engrossed,
I'm just a life learner.
At the end of the day,
it all comes to being happy.
Cool or boring, fun or lonely, it is only your say.
